guò yóu bù jí【典故】 过： 过分； 犹： 象； 不及： 达不到。 事情做得过头， 就跟做得不够一样， 都是不合适的。【出处】 《论语·先进》： “子贡问： ‘师与商也孰贤？ ’子曰： ‘师也过， 商也不及。 ’曰： ‘然则师愈与？ ’子曰： ‘过犹不及。’”
据老夫看来： 这是“～”。 大约两耳过长， 反觉没用。 （清·李汝珍《镜花缘》第十四回）
